Remembering Our Beautiful Friend — Dinna Santiago (July 6, 1967 – February 26, 2013) 🌹 Hello Hogan Spartans Class of 1985, As we look forward to our milestone 40th Class Reunion , let’s take a moment to honor and remember one of our most vibrant and beloved classmates — Dinna Santiago , whose bright smile and kind heart touched so many of us. Dinna was born on July 6, 1967 , and she brought joy and light to every space she entered. Many of us remember her laughter on the school bus, her warm personality in the halls of Hogan High, and her unforgettable presence at our senior events — like the Senior Snow Trip , captured in the photo below from our senior yearbook. I think we took two buses to our senior snow trip. Maybe 5 AM in front of Hogan at 850 Rosewood Ave, Vallejo, CA 94591, USA. It's a time for graduates, their families, and the university community to give thanks for the educational journey and to offer blessings for the future. It's a tradition at many universities, especially those with Catholic affiliations, and often includes readings, prayers, a homily, and sometimes musical performances. Throwback to Hogan '85's 10th Class Reunion 1995 October. Walnut Creek, CA. Back when our very own E40's "Sprinkle Me" hit #5 on Billboard's Hot Rap Songs. Earl Stevens (E40) joined us at that tenth reunion. Tony, Ron and I hung out in his suite... watching his video while it played on the TV. Good times! Tracy Waterman: I received your $30 fee. Springstowne Warriors Tony, you were right. I checked out our 7th grade yearbook and it referenced "Warriors." Tony found out from our good friend Mark who works at Springstowne that their last day is this Friday.  We visited Springstowne yesterday, June 10, Tuesday. The school will then be closed for good, and will be demolished within the next year. New houses will be built in our old junior high school. What were you doing 40 years ago? "We Are The World" was Billboard Hot 100 #1 from April 13, 1985 through the week of May 4, 1985. Quick update: I just spoke with Ron on the phone. The Rellik is still a go. A few of you from out-of-state RSVP'd, and I know you'd like to purchase your flights as soon as possible. Hello '85 Spartans! Gloria and I conference-called the owner of Rellik Tavern to hammer out details earlier today. Here's what we got: VENUE: RELLIK TAVERN in Benicia, CA LIVE BAND: Sixteen Scandals 80's (8 PM to Midnight) DATE: October 18, 2025 TIME: Come way before 8 PM. If Rellik fills to capacity of 150, you'll have to wait in line until a person leaves . Rellik will be open to the public until max capacity is reached.  I'm hoping we Hogan Spartans can do that on our own. Some of us are planning to be there by 7 PM, if not earlier. FEE: $30 per person (comes with one cocktail - vodka) If we get enough RSVPs, the $30 will be the final fee. Otherwise, the fee goes up. NOTE: Class of 1985 will get the VIP (Private Room) behind the stage and the five tables by the restrooms. The VIP Room seats 13-14, with Standing Room Only at 30.
