Hogan High School Class of 1985: 40th Class Reunion

Hello '85 Spartans! Gloria and I conference-called the owner of Rellik Tavern to hammer out details earlier today. Here's what we got: VENUE: RELLIK TAVERN in Benicia, CA LIVE BAND: Sixteen Scandals 80's (8 PM to Midnight) DATE: October 18, 2025 TIME: Come way before 8 PM. If Rellik fills to capacity of 150, you'll have to wait in line until a person leaves . Rellik will be open to the public until max capacity is reached.  I'm hoping we Hogan Spartans can do that on our own. Some of us are planning to be there by 7 PM, if not earlier. FEE: $30 per person (comes with one cocktail - vodka) If we get enough RSVPs, the $30 will be the final fee. Otherwise, the fee goes up. NOTE: Class of 1985 will get the VIP (Private Room) behind the stage and the five tables by the restrooms. The VIP Room seats 13-14, with Standing Room Only at 30. Raymond Bilan passed away January 9, 2025 Ray had been working out at City Sports Club in Vallejo, when he suffered an aneurysm and a heart attack per a very close friend of his. Ray attended Springstowne Junior High School before Hogan High School. He was my chess buddy back in eighth grade. You will be missed Ray. Rest in peace. Raymond J Bilan. Hogan Class of 1984 40th Reunion @ Lucca Bar & Grill

Thank you Erinn Van Deer Meer & Hogan Class of 1984 for allowing us to party with you on your 40th Reunion at Lucca. It was a great event. Congratulations! Erinn kept it a free event (no cover) for Hogan Class of 1984 so they had a great turnout. Maurice Harper, Ron Stainer and I were at the event and we all agreed that we can keep the same format, and follow in '84's footsteps. However, the music has to end at 9 PM since Lucca is an outdoor venue. Class of 1985 wants to party past 9 PM?! Rellik Tavern provides an indoor venue that has a live band & dancing from 7:30 PM to Midnight. I spoke with the owner this past Friday. More details to follow. Hogan 1984's 40th Reunion. Madonna's 'Like A Virgin' was Billboard No. 1 for the last half of December 1984 and all of January 1985 our senior year. Upon release, "Like a Virgin" received positive reviews from music critics, who frequently singled out Madonna's vocals. It became her first number-one in the Billboard Hot 100, and topped the charts in Australia and Canada, while reaching the top ten elsewhere (Official 4K Music Video) "Like a Virgin" is a song recorded by American singer Madonna from her second album of the same name. The song was written and composed by Tom Kelly and Billy Steinberg, and it was released as the album's lead single on October 31, 1984.

Hogan 1985 Spartans @ Class of 1984's 40th Reunion

Maurice Harper, Ron Stainer, Cherrie Van Hook & J.F. Perseveranda at HHS 1984's 40th Reunion Flashback: Lucca Bar & Grill. Benicia, CA. July 20, 2024. Maurice, Ron and I were in touch with Class of 1984's organizer, Erinn (Nabong) VanderMeer so we were all invited. Cherrie happened to be in town and I asked her to drop by. Class of 1984's reunion at Lucca was a blast. They had the tables by the sidewalk reserved. These were the farthest away from the stage so it was easier to talk. Erinn had appetizers for the class reunion and kept it a free event so they had a great turnout. The only drawback was that it was an outdoor venue. Due to zoning laws, the music had to end at 9 PM I believe. Class of 1985 wants music, dancing and to party past 9 PM right?! Maurice, Ron, Cherrie & J.F. Go '85 Spartans!
